Celebrate Heart Health Month with These 10 Easy Recipes

Hey Babes,

February is American Heart Month. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the US for men and women. What better way to show love to your heart than through a diet that supports cardiovascular health? In this post, I’m sharing 10 heart-healthy recipes that are not only delicious but also packed with ingredients that help lower cholesterol, reduce inflammation, and promote overall heart wellness. Whether you’re looking for a quick snack, a filling meal, or a satisfying dessert, these recipes will help keep your heart.

Below are some foods that provide heart benefits:

Fish- Omega-3s work to protect against artery plaque buildup by lowering triglyceride levels and increasing HDL (“good” cholesterol) cholesterol in your blood.

Nuts & seeds- Nuts offer a healthy dose of the plant-based version of omega-3 fatty acid called alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). A variety of seeds also offer the anti-inflammatory benefits of ALA.

Berries- Fiber in berries may help lower cholesterol by reducing your levels of LDL (“bad” cholesterol).

Oats & whole grains-  One study showed that people saw significant changes in their cholesterol after just six weeks of working oats into their daily diet.

Legumes- Act as a positive force on blood pressure and cholesterol, two factors in cardiovascular disease.

Veggies- Eating the rainbow brings different phytonutrients and antioxidants to the table that boost heart health.

Dark chocolate- Chocolate with at least 70% cacao has beneficial antioxidants called flavonoids, which can help improve blood flow and blood pressure by relaxing your blood vessels.
