Answering the Internet: The Most Common Questions

I thought it would be intriguing to explore the questions that individuals are searching for online and offer my insight. It’s always fascinating to see the variety of questions people come up with, even if some are unusual or peculiar. I think you will find these questions as amusing as I do. So let’s delve into the realm of questions that have piqued the curiosity of many cybersurfs.

The Odd Ones:

Why is my poop green? The most likely reason is because you’re eating your vegetables or something with a lot of food coloring. It could also be because you scarfed down Taco Bell and are no longer 20 years old. On a serious note, this can also be an indication of certain health conditions. Contact your doctor with concerns.

How do I find Chuck Norris? I didn’t even know people still talked about Chuck Norris. I recently saw him in an ad for how to gain muscle over the age of 50, but nothing else that I can remember. If you’re curious, Mr. Norris recently bought a 1975 home in the Northwood Hills neighborhood near Dallas, Texas. His most recent film was Agent Recon, which received a 2.4 out 10 on IMDb. Ouch.

Do penguins have knees? A penguin’s legs are made up of a femur, knee, tibia and fibula, just like yours. So yes, penguins have knees in addition to their cute waddle.

Do girls poop? Like, is this serious? How would girls not poop? If we put it in, it has to come out. I know some women like to seem demure and never gross, but EVERYONE poops. End of story.

What dinosaur has 500 teeth? Did I miss a recent discovery or something? This seems like such a random question… Anyway, this beast is called a Nigersaurus. It’s name references the country in where it was discovered- Niger.

Common Questions Asked:

How many weeks in a year? There are 52 weeks in a year, unless that year begins on a Thursday or is a Leap Year starting on Wednesday. (365 days / 7 days in a week = 52.14).

How many ounces in a cup? I’ll admit that I often have to search how many ounces are in a pint or gallon, but I am a little surprised by this one. I hope that more than in math or science class, children are still being taught how to cook/bake, as it’s a basic life skill that everyone should know. But if you’re wondering, there are 8 ounces in 1 cup. Click on “download” below to get this printable.

How to write a check? I truly want to know, is this relevant to anyone under the age of 40? I still carry around my checkbook, just in case, but really only write them a couple of times a year for the DMV or other government entity. None the less, if it’s being asked, people want to know. Let’s start with the basics:

https://babblingbabe.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/how-to-check.mp4
  1. Date- the current date, not some date in the future when you’re getting paid.
  2. Who/what the check is going to.
  3. The amount with dollars and cents.
  4. The dollar amount written out, using the cent amount over 100. You should also draw a line to the end of the field to avoid giving someone an opportunity to change the amount.
  5. Memo: not necessary for all checks, but optional.
  6. Sign your name.
  7. That’s it!

How to tie a tie? I honestly don’t know how to do this either! This guy makes it look so easy! Let’s watch the video below for a tutorial.

What generation am I? This one is always up for debate. Some people do not want to be associated with a “generation” because of stereotypes or adversity. I am going to show what I believe the proper generational fields are:
