I have a wide range of emotions this time of year. As much as I want to be happy and festive, it doesn’t always work out that way. Some years are wonderful and easy, others are rushed a depressing. I’ve learned through the years that I’m not the only one that feels this way, and wanted to tell you that you aren’t the only one either with these simple holiday reminders.
1. It’s ok to feel sad.
2. It’s ok to ask for what you need.
3. Setting boundaries is healthy.
4. It’s ok to take alone time when you need it.
5. You’re allowed to indulge in your favorite treats.
6. You’re allowed to take up space.
7. It’s ok to say no when you aren’t feeling up to something.
8. Never feel bad about giving handmade gifts.
9. It’s ok to have different views than family members.
10. You don’t need to be a superhero.
11. It’s ok to create new traditions.
12. Comparison is the thief of joy.
13. There’s no such thing as perfect.
14. Be present.
15. Take time to rest and care for yourself.
I love seeing these little reminders this time of year. With the hustle and bustle from November to January, we often forget to take care of ourselves. Enjoy the upcoming holidays and remember to set aside some time for you! Happy Holidays!
